Our Mission is simple: Augusta Locally Grown is 501c3 non profit organization dedicated to growing the sustainable local food community throughout the Central Savannah River Area. We are committed to the idea that a community is healthiest when it feeds itself. We accomplish this through farmers markets and educational programming. 74% of our farms are women-owned/operated and 50% are veteran owned - when you buy from ALG you are supporting a dynamic food force! Augusta Locally Grown (ALG) started in 2008 as a tiny, women-led pre-order farmers market on the outskirts of Augusta, Georgia. At that time, there were no other markets in the area committed to local agriculture. Now in its 18th year, nonprofit ALG is the Central Savannah River region's lead local food economic driver. We operate several in-person pickup spots in the CSRA. We offer selling and business services to our 60+ farmers and producers. In spring 2022, we moved into our next chapter and move into the HUB - a 33,000 square foot building that ALG will have residency in. It is through this HUB that ALG's food access efforts will amplify. We are ever thankful for the $10 million donation announced  by Augusta National Golf Club in November 2020 and gifted jointly with AT&T, Bank of America and IBM, and the endless hours that the CSRA Community Foundation has put together to organize this project. All ALG farmers/producers use sustainable practices and are either USDA Organic or Certified Naturally Grown.
