About Bonacorsi Family Farm

Third-and-fourth generation farming family with Sicilian roots. Sam and Laura Bonacorsi farm 57 acres across two properties in Franklin Township, Hunterdon County — a 15-acre orchard on Croton Road in Flemington and a 42-acre berry farm on Pittstown Road near Frenchtown. We grow over 70 varieties of apples, including heirlooms like Esopus Spitzenburg (~1790), Ashmead's Kernel (~1700), and Kingston Black cider apples. Our berry fields produce strawberries (Rutgers Scarlet, Earliglo, Sparkle varieties), raspberries, and blueberries for u-pick every June. We use Integrated Pest Management — organic products first, conventional chemicals only as a last resort at the lowest rates. Zero GMO varieties. Most of our crops are older varieties selected for flavor and quality above all else. Our fruit doesn't have to undergo rough handling or long journeys, so we focus on selecting for the best flavors. Self-serve roadside stand restocked daily, mid-August through December.
