Brookhaven Mill Farm

An 1880's historic farm that offers an agritourism experience for those interested in small-scale farming. Our farm spans over 23 acres with about half as fenced pasture for our variety of livestock (sheep, goats, donkeys) and fowl (geese, chickens and ducks) you can visit and feed. Our petting zoo allows you to go inside the barnyard and spend time with our animals too! For organic products, we have 15 lavender bushes that each yield several hundred stems of lavender. Each June-July when the lavender is in full bloom, we have an event called "Lavender Love in a Jar" to allow visitors to cut as many stems of lavender that will fit in a mason jar. We sell out of two places on the farm: Charlie's Farm Store, which was originally an 1880's shed to store livestock feed, and our newest offering just a few feet away, a concession stand we call the Snack Shack, that doubles as our produce stand. The Farm store carries long shelf-life products: preserves, honey, nut butters, salsas and apple butter. It also features our products grown on the farm: lavender, fleece, and seasonal produce, fruits and herbs from the property. The Snack Shack offers hot dogs, snacks, and beverages, and any produce that our garden is yielding. In summer we sell tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, chili peppers, squash varieties including zucchini and herbs.
