About

City of Good (CoG) and Create Common Good (CCG) have complimentary missions and services with a focus on building a sustainable food system that serves all of our neighbors. By joining efforts we can complete a Circle of Good with workforce development integrated across food production and distribution programs; sharing administrative and fundraising staff; and expanding resources. We will be stronger together. After months of research and discussions, both boards voted unanimously to merge. The merger process completed on March 1st, 2025. We are committed to maintaining and expanding the exceptional training programs, workforce development, and food production that CCG has spent many years building and refining. CCG’s programs and staff will continue but under the heading of CoG. This merger is an expansion of programs with the benefit of a team of professional staff. We’re gaining years of experience, technical knowledge, facilities, equipment, and relationships. Since our founding, serving those in the kitchen has been at the center of our programming and vision. By joining with CCG, we are able tointegrate workforce development and training into our food production and distribution programs. We will also be combining our fundraising efforts, which should yield efficiencies greater impact. Donations are our largest source of funding and essential to our operations. We would love to answer any questions you might have about how you can financially support City of Good with monthly giving, one-time donations, and corporate sponsorships. If you would like to volunteer, please reach out to our volunteer coordinator, Erica, to learn more. Please visit our website or reach out to our executive director.
