About Hartman's Herb Farm Bed & Breakfast

We are a small family farm run by Lynn Hartman and her daughter Carissa, with the help of Carissa's two children Cameron and Chloe. Our story began in 1975 when Lynn Hartman began potting plants she found on the property she and her husband Peter Hartman had purchased together. After watching the plants grow Lynn set out to a town flea market to sell them. By the end of the day, Lynn had sold out and the demand for her plants began to grow. Over the next few years Lynn and Peter began perfecting their growing technique, they also learned about drying and crafting with what they grew as well. Lynn and Pete have since taught their children and grandchildren the fond love they shared for all living things. To keep up with the demand four greenhouses were added, which contain a wide variety of herbs, flowers, vegetables, and perennials. All of the plants are started by us in the spring and we take care of them until they find a new home. We added a gift shop filled with locally made items and in-house items for sale, as well as dried flower bunches. You can also see our dining room which was added for bus tours, weddings, and other private functions. We also have our own classroom! Small parties can come and learn from Lynn about how to craft things such as wreaths and table arrangements. We are open 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the exception of major holidays. We are closed on major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Lynn, Carissa and our staff at Hartman's wish you all the best of health and happiness in your life. We hope we can share a small part of our life with you. We would like to thank our customers, both old and new for all of your support throughout our 45 years in buisness. You have helped us reach our goals, and you are helping us live out Peter Hartman's memory with your buisness. 1026 Old Dana Rd., Barre, MA 01005 © 2021 Hartman's Herb Farm. All rights reserved.
