Lettuce Boy Farm's chicken is raised on pasture, with shelter from predators and the weather, ample access to grass, bugs to chase, and plenty of sunlight. That's why we call it Suntan Chicken! Many industrial-scale farms market their eggs as free-range, but don't be fooled: this does mean they are not raised in cages, but most still are raised indoors, with their access to the outside restricted to a small concrete-floored enclosure. Our pastured chickens benefit cleaner environment and less crowded conditions than their commercially raised cousins.
