Our Story

Goodell Family Farm has a rich history dating back to 1825 when Jonas Goodell established maple sugar making on the original 130-acre farmstead in Shalersville, Ohio. Today, the farm continues this seven-generation tradition, focusing on dairying with an organic intensive grazing program, alongside their award-winning maple syrup production. They are celebrating their bicentennial in 2025 with a new sugarhouse to continue efficient syrup making for future generations.
