Organic Produce Carroll County Maryland
The goal of the Nev-R-Dun Farm cooperative is to provide organically grown produce to Carroll County residents along with the neighboring counties. As the demand for fresh organically grown produce increases, the amount of such produce available is less than adequate. We hope to do our share in offering such produce. Most produce that is available for sale in supermarkets is disappointingly bland and over-mature. We have found that many types of heirloom vegetables are over-whelmingly more flavorful than the market types. Beyond this, nothing beats the freshness of just harvested produce. It is one of our main goals to provide only the freshest and best tasting produce available. To attain this goal, we are constantly experimenting with new varieties, in order to discover a hidden gem. Our primary target customer is the individual person or family that is in search of the freshest and most flavorful produce. If you consider yourself to fall into this category, please contact us today. We look forward to meeting you one on one. The mission of Nev-R-Dun Farm is to provide organically grown produce to Carroll County residents and neighboring counties, addressing the inadequate supply of fresh organic produce. They focus on providing the freshest and best tasting produce, often from heirloom varieties, and are constantly experimenting with new varieties. The farm has been growing strawberries for over a decade, overcoming the challenges of organic fruit production without chemical pesticides, which they view as unnecessary and detrimental to flavor and health benefits. They aim to provide ripe, flavorful, and chemical-free produce to their customers, contrasting their methods with conventional farming practices that often result in tasteless, chemically-laced products. They believe that the flavor of produce is an indicator of its health benefits and that crops should be grown and harvested naturally without chemicals. The farm also mentions that they have been 'fiddling' with strawberries for years, indicating a long-standing commitment to this crop. They also mention that they are a cooperative. The farm was founded more than a decade ago, as indicated by the strawberry article published in 2013, which states the author looked into growing strawberries 'over a decade ago'. This would place the founding year around 2003 or earlier. The website also mentions that they are a cooperative. The website also mentions that they are a cooperative.
