Diversified Family Farm
Special Improvement Districts
This year marked Pearl Market’s final season after 26 years of serving the community. Thank you for your support! Pearl Market has been serving the Downtown community since 1991, offering fresh locally grown Ohio produce to workers, residents, and visitors in the iconic Gay Street District. In addition to a variety of fresh farm produce, shoppers enjoy artisanal products available at Pearl Market, including baked goods, gifts for the home, jewelry, and more. Live music adds to the ambience on market days. Pearl Market is supported through a USDA grant focused on recruiting local farmers and providing them with support to grow their businesses. In tandem, it strives to provide all members of the downtown community with farm fresh produce. Programs such as SNAP/EBT Produce Parks, Women Infant & Children (WIC), and the Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program promote food access for all residents. After 25 years of service to the downtown community, Capital Crossroads and Discovery Special Improvement Districts have closed their doors and ceased operations. SID cleaning, safety and homeless outreach services transitioned to Safer Downtown, a new subsidiary of Downtown Columbus, Inc. effective November 1, 2025.
