OUR VISION:To build a dynamic and diverse food community where friends gather to enjoy fresh produce and unique eats provided by local farmers and food artisans. OUR MISSION:To secure the future of food by supporting sustainable local farmers and food producers, expand reliable access to fresh, locally grown food while working to eliminate food insecurity in our community. Rose City Farmers Market member farmers voluntarily participate in training which allows them to participate in the Farmers Market Nutrition Program, popularly known as WIC. Eligible WIC participants are issued FMNP vouchers which provide access to fresh, unprepared, locally grown fruits and vegetables to WIC participants, and to expand the awareness, use of, and sales at farmers' markets. We also have the ability to accept SNAP from the SNAP card and will exchange the benefits for market tokens to shop with. We will also match that amount, $1 for $1, up to $30 per day! Use the SNAP market dollars to buy any SNAP eligible foods at the market, including bread, meat, honey, and other farm fresh foods.
