The WayGreen Local Fare Market is a direct vendor-to-customer venue for local farmers and growers, local handicraft artisans, artists, bakers, prepared food vendors, as well as local musicians and educational activities. "Local" is defined as any food, craft, or other product grown or produced within a 100 miles radius of the Waycross/Ware County center. The Market is held on site at the Okefenokee Heritage Center, 1460 N Augusta Ave, Waycross, Ga. The market is one of many projects of the WayGreen Homestead Guild of the Okefenokee Heritage Center promoting community education to connect food choices and the impact they have on individual health, the local economy, culture and the environment.
