Managing Orders on Bhumi
When a customer places an order, here's what happens and what you need to do.
Order Notifications
You'll receive an email notification when a new order comes in. You can also check your dashboard for pending orders at any time.
The Order Flow
- New Order — Customer places and pays for the order
- Confirm — Review the order and confirm you can fulfill it
- Prepare — Pack the order for pickup or delivery
- Ready — Mark as ready when the order is packed
- Complete — Mark as complete after the customer picks up or receives delivery
Reviewing Orders
Each order shows:
- Customer name and contact info
- Items ordered with quantities
- Fulfillment method (pickup or delivery)
- Scheduled pickup/delivery time
- Total amount (this is what you receive)
If You Can't Fulfill an Order
Sometimes you might not be able to fill an order — a product sold out, weather affected your harvest, etc. If this happens:
- Contact the customer directly to discuss alternatives
- Update the order status in your dashboard
- If needed, arrange a refund through your dashboard
Tips for Smooth Fulfillment
- Check for new orders daily
- Confirm orders promptly — customers appreciate quick acknowledgment
- Pack orders clearly with the customer's name
- Keep refrigerated items cold until pickup
- Have a designated pickup area so customers know where to go
