How to Place an Order

Ordering from Local Farms

When a farm accepts online orders through Bhumi, you can add their products to your cart and check out securely.

1. Find a Farm with Online Ordering

Not all farms accept online orders yet. Farms that do will show an "Order Online" button on their profile. Browse the map or search for farms near you.

2. Add Items to Your Cart

On the farm's profile, browse their available products. Each product shows the price, description, and available quantity. Tap "Add to Cart" to start building your order.

3. Review Your Cart

Open your cart to review items, adjust quantities, or remove products. You'll see a breakdown of:

• Item prices — set by the farmer (they receive 100% of this)
• Service fee — a small fee that keeps Bhumi running
• Order total — your final amount

4. Choose Fulfillment

Select how you'd like to receive your order:

• Farm pickup — collect from the farm at a scheduled time
• Delivery — if the farm offers delivery to your area
• Market pickup — some farms offer pickup at farmers markets

5. Pay Securely

We use Stripe for secure payment processing. Your card is charged when you place the order. The farmer receives their full listed price directly — we never take a commission from farmers.

6. Track Your Order

After ordering, you'll receive a confirmation email. Track your order status in your account dashboard. The farmer will update the status as they prepare and fulfill your order.
